Ron Eller is running to be a member of the United States Congress. Congress enacts laws that influence the daily lives of all Americans and is intended to serve as the voice of the people. Its responsibilities include funding government functions and programs, holding hearings to inform the legislative process, and oversight of the executive branch.

Education

Education is paramount for our future as a world leader. In order for our nation to compete and lead from the front, we must raise and train the next generation of leaders, inventors, scientists, and entrepreneurs. Not only do we need to train the youth of our nation, but we also need to reform the prison population. By reforming the prison population we can make them productive members of society.

Economics

Economics is and will remain a challenge going forward. We need fair taxation with good representation. Too often our leadership has put self-interest first and not what’s good for the country as priority number one. An America first policy is critical in order for our families and children to have a better life.

Energy

We need all forms of energy. Energy is the lifeblood of the American Economy. We can not and should not cut our use of fossil fuels. We need all forms of energy to grow our nation and economy. We need clean coal, oil, natural gas, nuclear, hydroelectric, hydrogen, wind, and solar.

Second Amendment

The Second Amendment must be defended. Concealed carry licenses should be valid across all jurisdictions like an individual’s driver’s license. As an NRA member, i am proud to strongly support the Second Amendment.

  • Mississippi has the highest firearm mortality rate and highest murder rate in the United States.
  • A child or adolescent is killed with a gun every 2 hours and 48 minutes in the U.S.
  • Age-adjusted firearm homicide rates in the U.S. are 33 times greater than in Australia and 77 times greater than in Germany
  • Every day, 125 Americans are killed with guns, and more than 200 are shot and wounded
  • Women in the U.S. are 28 times more likely to be killed with a gun than women in other high-income countries.

Right to Life

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments. I believe that the Mississippi Law that was upheld by the US Supreme Court, that abortion is to be done only to save the life of the mother, is a commonsense approach to abortion.
starvoters pov: Arkansas House of Representatives candidate (and pastor) Robb Ryerse stated it well: "Abortion should remain safe and legal. These are personal decisions best made by patients, their doctors, and their faith — not politicians. You don't have to agree with every decision someone makes to believe they should be free to make it. That's what personal liberty means." Almost 2/3 of Americans agree and believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases.

Border Security

Our National Borders must be secured! Build the wall now. Failure of our elected officials to secure the border should be considered dereliction of duty and grounds for removal from office. Any state, and/or local government that declares itself a sanctuary should be ineligible to receive any federal funding and aid. Anyone who illegally immigrates to the United States should never be permitted to vote in a federal election even if they are later awarded citizenship.

Healthcare Mandates

I believe in free will/choice. That an individual has the right to refuse a vaccine or treatment based on personal choice and/or religious beliefs.

I also believe in the Right to Try Act S.204, an individual should be able to seek treatment that may be considered experimental.
starvoters pov: We all need to take care of each other. Getting vaccinated is part of being a good member of society.

Voter ID and Election Integrity

A Government-issued photo ID should be required to vote. Voter IDs can include i.e. driver’s license, military ID, passport, etc. There should not be same-day registration. There should be a paper ballot/record produced when a vote is cast as part of a permanent record. It is election day not election season.
starvoters pov: Voting is how citizens participate in our democracy. We should be making it easier for people to vote, not harder.

Church & State

The church and State are independent of one another. However, the church cannot be removed from the fabric of our nation. Per the US Constitution Art 4 Sec 3 via Northwest Ordinance; “Art 3 Religion, morality, and knowledge, being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools, and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.”

Ron Eller isn't trying to make our lives better. He's just trying to impose his radical beliefs on the rest of us. He wants to tell women what they can do with their bodies, is ok with our kids getting shot in schools as long as he has his guns, wants the church in our state and wants to make it harder for us to vote.

Do we really want 2 YEARS of this?

There are candidates who want to make our lives better. For your sake, for your kids sake, for your family, friends, neighbors and fellow Mississippians sake, please vote for one of them. Don't let billionaire-manufactured culture wars and other BS distract you from what really matters. Because we all deserve a better life.
